Unlocking the Aquarium in Persona 5 Royal
While playing through the game, spending time with your Confidants and ranking them up is the key to fusing even stronger Personas to give yourself an edge in battle. However, you won’t be able to rank them up every single time you hang out with them.
Whenever you don’t get a rank up with a Confidant, though, you might have the opportunity to invite them to go somewhere, and this is where the new aquarium comes into play. The aquarium is basically a brand new date spot that you can check out during your free days, and spend time with your Confidants there.
From our experience, the best way to unlock it quickly is by ranking up Goro Akechi’s Confidant. Around rank 3 or 4, Akechi will send you a text message, inviting you to check out the aquarium with him. Accepting his invitation on the spot will immediately unlock the aquarium as a new location on your map.
Alternatively, once you unlock Shinjuku in the story, you can also buy books from the bookstore there to discover the aquarium as a new location.
