New Pokemon Snap: How to Complete Dangling Metapod Request

New Pokemon Snap has just been released for Nintendo Switch, allowing a whole new generation of gamers to experience the joy of venturing out into the wild to take pictures of Pokemon in their natural habitats. Aside from just taking cute photos, though, there are also requests to take on, but these can be a little obtuse at times so we’re here to help you out. Here’s how to complete the Dangling Metapod request in New Pokemon Snap.

Completing the Dangling Metapod Request in New Pokemon Snap

The Dangling Metapod request can be unlocked once you start getting your hands on Illumina Orbs, and you can take on the quest from Todd. This request requires you to take a photo of a Metapod dangling from its thread, and you can grab that photo from the Jungle level in the daytime.

While going through the Jungle level, wait till you’re at the floating log bridge and look up at the branches to see a Liepard sitting up top. Once you’re past the tree turn around and look at the branch to find a Metapod sitting on the other side.

From here, throw an Illumina Orb at it to get it to dangle from a thread, then quickly snap a photo to complete the request. Once you have the photo, return to camp and make sure to submit that specific photo to confirm your quest completion.

It’s important to note that you have to take the photo before Metapod starts shimmying up the thread back to the tree, so have your shutters ready as soon as you throw that Illumina Orb.

That’s all you need to know about how to complete the Dangling Metapod request in New Pokemon Snap. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
