NBA 2K18: How to Update on Xbox One
NBA 2K18 continues the series’ tradition of pumping out great basketball sim games with a ton of varied game modes to mess around in. That said, one of the game’s most popular modes, MyCareer, a story mode where you follow the career of a young upstart looking to crack into the NBA is a bit bugged for the Xbox One version. There are a number of various bugs that players have reported, and the worst one is that there’s a possibility that a player’s MyCareer character and save data could be lost. Yikes!
It’s enough of a cause for concern that 2K has recommended that players avoid the mode until a patch addresses the issue that causes that potential save data ruining bug.
The update supposedly was released on Sept. 18 but 2K has not fully detailed the patch with notes. Therefore you should still play at your own risk if you’re on Xbox One, but if you don’t mind rolling the dice it could possibly be fixed? The only people who know for sure are 2K so that’s the best we can give you for now until we get an update.
