Today Furyu released the first trailer of the upcoming trading card video game Cardfight!! Vanguard EX.
This is the first Cardfight!! Vanguard game to be released for home consoles, and it’ll feature narration by Yukihiro Nozuyama, who played the main character of the original title.
It’ll also come with all the cards from the series and a theme song by Argonavis, titled “Starting Over.”
If you’re not familiar with Argonavis, they’re a boy band featured in Bushiroad’s BanG Dream! project, and they’re scheduled to headline the reveal of the publisher’s upcoming girl DJ game D4DJ.
They’re pretty popular in Japan, like all the bands involved with BanG Dream!.
The original story will be supervised by the series’ own creator Akira Ito, so it should certainly be interesting for the fans of the franchise.
Cardfight!! Vanguard EX will release in Japan on September 19, both for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, and it’ll cost 6,980 yen in both packaged and digital versions.
At the moment, a western release has not been announced. We’ll have to wait and see if someone will ick it up.
