H1Z1 has gone through many iterations over the years. Starting off as H1Z1, the game included a ‘King of the Hill’ mode, essentially battle royale before battle royale was popular. This mode proved so popular that it was spun off into its own game, H1Z1: King of the Hill. The base game was renamed Just Survive and for a while, the two games existed in tandem.
